Introduction
The need for training in the safe use of ladders is often overlooked by employers and the self employed. Unfortunately there is a huge amount of accidents with ladders, often fatal, and usually serious. By undertaking training, organisations can reduce these risks to their employees and comply with their obligations under the legislation.
Course Aim
By the end of the course participants will be able to discriminate between safe and unsafe ladder practices, describe correct practices when ascending and descending a ladder, describe correct practices for using extension ladders, have an insight into the legislation concerning safety in the workplace and how it may affect them. The storage, handling and transportation of ladders will also be covered.
