Introduction
The need for training in the safe use of equipment is often overlooked by employers and the self employed. Unfortunately there is a huge amount of accidents, often fatal, and usually serious. By undertaking training, organisations can reduce these risks to their employees and comply with their obligations under the legislation.
Course Aim
By the end of the course Participants will be able to discriminate between safe and unsafe lifting practices, describe correct practices when slinging and moving a load, describe correct practices for inspecting equipment prior to use,
Have an insight into the legislation concerning safety in the workplace and how it may affect them. The storage, handling and transportation of lifting gear will also be covered.
