Introduction
We offer this Height Safety Course which provides essential training for any person, who has to manage, supervise and control the activities of people who work at heights.
This training is also for those engaged in carrying out work at heights to conform with the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Work at Heights) Regulations 2006.
This course is designed for individuals involved in general working at heights which may include:
roof’s scaffolds, leading edges, climbing and working on permanent structures, etc.

- Safety Legislation
- Risks of working at heights
- The physics of a fall
- Height safety equipment types
- Harness types and design standards
- Strength & Characteristics of fall protection equipment
- Component parts
- Safety inspection of harness & lanyard prior to use
- Correct fitting of harness
- Identifying correct anchorage points
- Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment
- Storage and Maintenance
- Certification and testing requirements for lifting equipment
- Practical Inspection and fitting of Harness
- Test Paper
On successful completion of this course
delegates will be able to:
- Understand the requirements of the work at heights regulations 2006
- Understand the risks associated with working at heights
- Identify the various equipment options
- Inspect their height safety equipment before use
- Don their equipment correctly.
- Understand the correct method anchorage
- Identify the hazards associated with incorrect use
- Understand the importance of correct storage and maintenance
